Biagi Bros celebrates a milestone achievement with Nikola Corporation as they launch the grand opening of the first HYLA high-pressure modular refueling station in Southern California. This marks a significant step forward in Biagi Bros’ commitment to zero-emission trucks and its active role in driving innovative solutions that will revolutionize the future of transportation.
The inauguration ceremony, held on March 21, 2024, was attended by esteemed guests including fleet customers, dealers from Nikola’s sales and service network, government officials, industry press, and members of the Nikola leadership and engineering teams. The event featured insightful remarks from Nikola executives, as well as Joe Biagi, Fleet Director at Biagi Bros, highlighting the collaborative efforts that have made this achievement possible.
The City of Ontario and the office of Congresswoman Norma Torres also played pivotal roles in the event, presenting Certificates of Recognition in acknowledgment of the milestone. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in various activities, including truck and hydrogen refueling demonstrations, facility and equipment tours, and technology Q&A sessions with Nikola engineers, showcasing the advancements in hydrogen safety and the HYLA ecosystem.
The Ontario station, operational since last month, can fuel up to 40 Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric Class 8 trucks daily. This station is part of Nikola’s strategic initiative to develop up to nine refueling solutions by mid-2024, with a total of 14 refueling solutions planned to be operational by the end of the year.
Nikola is dedicated to providing 24/7 support with on-site HYLA Ambassadors and Operation Technicians, ensuring a seamless and efficient fueling experience for its customers. This initiative aligns with Biagi Bros’ vision of fostering a sustainable future for transportation and underscores its commitment to driving positive change in the industry.
